Beautiful Teak dining table and 8 chairs, this wonderful set starts at 66″x42″ and has two 18″ extensions to expand all the way to 102″x42″, the two end chairs have arms. This set has always been in a smoke free environment. We bought this from the original owners and they had it for over 25 years, it has been well preserved, there is one minor spot near the edge of the table that shows just a light blemish. This table was built in canada and is well made, we have a lot of teak furniture that was made in Denmark and is no where near the quality of this table, very solid and well thought out. The upholstery is original and is in excellent condition, it is a wheat color. It is crafted in Denmark most probably made by top quality furniture maker Gudme Modelfabrik. It has lovely book matched veneering on the top that extends into the leaves as well. Most notable are the self storing leaves at each end. The top is simply lifted a bit to allow the leaves (each 16.5″) to pull out. Use one or both. The rounded slightly tapered legs are sturdy and typical of that era. The table top has slender solid teak edge moldings and a beautifully crafted arched apron. The top center section has a rich teak patina that only comes with age. The table will comfortably seat six without the leaves and 8 with them. Size: 48″ x 32″ x 29″ expanding to 81″. Chair clearance is 24″. Measurement between legs is 40″. Condition: Excellent used condition. The top has been lightly refinished, shows no wear, ring marks or scratches. It has been finished with teak oil. The extending leaves are the same color. But most on ebay are mismatching due to their constant storage. Solid teak legs show little wear or tear.
